IMERO Technologies GmbH is a leading provider of digital labelling solutions with its innovative product e-label. e-label specializes in QR code labels for nutritional information on wine and other alcoholic beverages to ensure compliance with EU regulations and increase transparency for consumers. IMERO Technologies GmbH was facing significant challenges in maximizing conversions via Google Ads. After taking over their advertising account, we identified several inefficiencies, including an unstructured account setup, unclear campaign objectives, incomplete keyword research, and an ineffective bidding strategy that focused on cost-per-click (CPC) rather than conversion optimization. Our main goal was to restructure the account, improve ad relevancy and implement a data-driven bidding strategy to maximize sign-ups for e-label.

To optimize IMERO Technologies’ Google Ads performance, we conducted a comprehensive audit and implemented strategic improvements in the following areas:

  1. Focus on Google Search Ads campaignsWe prioritized Google Search Ads to target companies actively looking for digital labeling solutions. By segmenting the campaigns according to core offerings and target groups, we ensured that the budget allocation was in line with market profitability.
  2. Improved ad relevance and targetingWe revised the ad copy to better communicate with IMERO’s target audience, emphasizing key benefits and aligning the message with search intent. By refining the keyword strategy and aligning ads with landing pages, we improved quality scores and reduced costs.
  3. Use of Smart BiddingThe implementation of Target CPA bidding enabled us to attract high-quality leads at optimal cost. Regular reviews of search queries ensured that the budget was spent efficiently on relevant search queries.
  4. Expanding the strategy with display and YouTube adsIn order to increase brand awareness and reach a broader target group, we integrated Google Display and YouTube ads into the strategy. This extension helped IMERO to target potential customers at different stages of their purchase decision and generate additional engagement and conversions.
  5. Continuous optimizationWe continuously monitored performance, optimized bids, expanded powerful keyword sets and improved the landing pages to ensure and expand the campaign’s long-term success.

Retargeting and ad extensions for better visibility

To retarget potential customers, we launched retargeting campaigns for users who had already visited the website but did not convert. Additionally, we added ad extensions such as sitelinks and callouts to provide more context and increase the click-through rate.

Landing page optimization for more conversions

IMERO’s landing pages were optimized to ensure a seamless user experience. Mobile optimization, clear CTAs and compelling offers significantly improved the conversion rate.
